I had the great opportunity to interview Carrie Spindler, the executive chef and owner of the GoodieBox Bakeshop; a virtual bakery specializing in cupcakes, cakes and pies. She was able to discover her passion very early which helped tremendously in her transition from a corporate environment to the entrepreneurial path. I have also had a chance to taste her products (cupcakes)and they are f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!! My favorites are the lemon meringue and red velvet! “If you come up with a solid business idea/product. People will support you!It’s amazing where you will find funding!”
“I’m working with an incubator.”

“I’m always giving everybody cake…. people remember.”
“The best marketing is word of mouth.”

“ Both…..Cupcakes are nostalgic. They are logistically useful.”

24:14 – What is unique about my business are online orders.. (online platform; no physical location) this is an advantage for people who don’t have time to go outside”

“Offer a option on the website where customers can customize and design [their] own cake/cupcake”
