Networking Tidbit

The word “Networking” has been around for quite some time, yet oddly enough it seems to be the latest buzz word that coincides with social media. The social applications that have been introduced and developed for the past decade has connected millions of people from places that you only dream of. Who would of thought that you would have a bunch of friends from the online world that could be added to your inner circle of offline friends? However, there is a catch (sometimes).  You may never (I don’t like to say never but I just wanted to put it out there) have the opportunity to meet your online friends or maybe you will.

As you can see from the video, I was able to meet Tony Ruiz. He is the CEO/Founder of VentureMixx!! Call it cheesy if you may, but I thought it was really cool that I was able to meet someone that I had befriended online. Stay tuned for an interview!

Have you been able to meet any of your contacts/friends that you have connected via social media applications? Until Next Time.

It was great meeting you offline as well. The whole point of meeting people online and growing your network is taking that online interaction and turning it into an offline interactions. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip Monique!

I like the Grand Canyon video along with the other videos. It shows how serious you are making your blog a success. Great job.

This was cool. Wish I could have seen some of the hike down the Grand Canyon. You’re an early learner/adapter, because a few marketers that I follow are saying they use Twitter to find people interested in their products that live nearby. I think it’s even better just to network and collaborate on stuff.

It’s always a pleasure talking to you online Monique, and I look forward to meeting you in person.(I see you know Lis…She’s a great person to know. Interestingly enough, we met online, and then in person.)

It’s about building relationships, and similar to what Tony stated, I see twitter/online as a great way to first meet interesting people you may then choose to meet offline, and further collaborate with.
